MSL-300 Lock

    These safes no longer come standard with this lock.

    IMPORTANT:
  1. To ensure the safety of your belongings, you MUST change the factory set code to your own unique code immediately!

FEATURES:

MSL-300
      Two Code Capacity
    1. User Code: Factory Set
    2. Master Code: Factory Set
      Please see your user manual for the factory set Codes or contact Tech Support.

      1. NOTE:
      2. The Master Code in SINGLE USER MODE is used as an emergency override code
        [Enter * - Master Code - # and the USER CODE will be set back to the factory default] and is also used to change user settings.
      3. The Master Code in DUAL USER MODE is used as one of the two codes in dual user mode and is also used to change user settings.
        WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHANGE THE DEFAULT MASTER CODE

      Wrong Code Penalty
    1. Entry of 3 consecutive invalid codes results in a 5 minute delay period.
      You will not get any response from the keypad during this period.
      Audio/Visual Signals
    1. Double signal : 2 LED flashes and 2 Beeps - indicates entry is valid or accepted.
    2. Triple signal : 3 LED flashes and 3 Beeps - indicates invalid or not accepted.
      Low Battery Alert
    1. Controller repeated beeping during an unlocking indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
    2. Manufacturer recommends the use of 9V Alkaline Batteries and an annual maintenance replacement of the batteries.
      Single & Dual User Mode
    1. Single Mode : Open lock with 1 code [Override or User Code)
    2. Dual Mode : Open lock with 2 codes [User 1 & User 2 code]
      Time Delay
    1. Time Delay : A time period waiting for opening lock. The maximum Time Delay is 99 minutes

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

      Always Perfrom this operation with the door open
    1. Before closing the door, make sure all the changes are correct.
      Quick Start
      Change User Code
    1. Enter : #- Existing Master Code -#
      The light will stay Orange for 10 seconds
    2. While light is still Orange :
      Enter : 1-*- New Master Code -#- New Master Code -#
      NOTE:The Master Code & User Codes can be set to 1 - 10 digits
      If a mistake is made during the change, wait 30 seconds & repeat steps 1 - 3
    3. Test the new code several times before closing the door.
      The lock will indicate a valid code change with a double signal; new code has been entered.
      The lock will indicate an invalid code change with a triple signal; the old code is still valid.
      NOTE:
    1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
    2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

    Change Master Code
  1. Enter : #- Master Code or Manager Code -#
    The set light will stay Orange for 10 seconds
  2. While light is still Orange :
    Enter : 2-*- New Manager Code -#- New Manager Code -#
    If a mistake is made during the change, wait 30 seconds & repeat steps 1 - 3
  3. Test the new code several times before closing the door.
    The lock will indicate a valid code change with a double signal; new code has been entered.
    The lock will indicate an invalid code change with a triple signal; the old code is still valid.
    NOTE:
  1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
  2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

    Activating User Code
  1. Enter : #- Master Code or Manager Code -#
    The set light will stay Orange for 10 seconds
  2. While light is still Orange :
    Enter : [User #] -*- New User Code -#- New User Code -#
    [User #: Specify which user you would like to activate 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7]
    If a mistake is made during the change, wait 30 seconds & repeat steps 1 - 3
    Example : #- Master Code or Manager Code -#-5-*- New User Code -#- New User Code -# [This will activate User 5]
    NOTE:
  1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
  2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

    Change User Code
  1. Enter : #- Master Code or Manager Code -#
    The light will stay Orange for 10 seconds
  2. While light is still Orange :
    Enter : [User #] -*- New User Code -#- New User Code -#
    [User #: Specify which user you would like to activate 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7]
    If a mistake is made during the activation, wait 30 seconds & repeat steps 1 - 3
    NOTE:
  1. The lock will indicate a valid code entry with a double signal.
  2. The lock will indicate an invalid code entry with a triple signal and the old code is still valid.

    Deleting Codes
  1. Enter : #- Master Code or Manager Code -#
    The light will stay Orange for 10 seconds
  2. Enter : 2-*-#-#
    NOTE:
  1. The lock will indicate a valid code entry with a double signal.
  2. The lock will indicate an invalid code entry with a triple signal and the old code is still valid.

    Open Lock [Single User Mode]
  1. Enter : *- User Code -#
    [[OPEN]] will display & the LED will signal twice indicating a valid code
  2. Turn the handle clockwise while the [[OPEN]] is displayed & LED is Green
    Open Lock [Dual User Mode]
  1. Enter : *- User Code -#- Master Code -#
    [[OPEN]] will display & the LED will signal twice indicating valid codes
  2. Turn the handle clockwise while [[OPEN]] is displayed & LED is Green
    NOTE: Valid Code - Lock will double signal
    Invalid Code - Lock will triple signal
    Set Time Delay
  1. #- Master Code -#- [01-99] -#- [01-99] -#
  2. The lock will indicate a valid setting change with a double signal
    Example: #- Master Code -#-05-#-05-# [This will set a 5 minute time delay]
    NOTE:
  1. The lock will indicate a valid code change with a double signal.
  2. The lock will indicate an invalid code change with a triple signal and the old code is still valid.
  3. The Master and Manager can also change the user codes by following the ACTIVATE USER CODES section Steps 1 - 3.

    Operating Lock when Time Delay is Set to 1
  1. Press : * or # to initiate the Time Delay
  2. The lock will signal once every 10 seconds during time delay and will signal every second during the last 10 seconds of the time delay.
  3. The lock will signal twice and beep once every 10 seconds during the open period.
    The open period length is 2 minutes
  4. During the open period you will need to enter your code
    De-activate Time Delay
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#-00-#-00-#
  2. The lock will indicate a valid setting change with a double signal
    Set Single User Mode [Manager OR User Code to Unlock]
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#-0-#-0-#
  2. The lock will indicate a valid setting change with a double signal
    Set Dual User Mode [Any Code & Any Code to Unlock]
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#-1-#-1-#
  2. The lock will indicate a valid setting change with a double signal
    Set Dual User Mode [Master OR Manager Code & User Code to Unlock]
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#-2-#-2-#
  2. The lock will indicate a valid setting change with a double signal

    Low Battery Warning
  1. The Green LED light will signal in Red when opening your safe.
  2. The lock is giving you a valid signal but is not unlocking.
    Changing the Batteries
  1. Turn the keypad housing to the left (counter clockwise) and carefully pull away from the mounting plate to expose battery compartment.
  2. Remove the 9-V Alkaline Battery & replace.
    CAUTION! Hold onto battery terminal to avoid pulling wires out of housing.
  3. Carefully position the keypad into the inserts on the mounting plate and turn keypad right [clockwise].
    Ensure that there are no wires or cables trapped between the keypad and the inserts on the mounting plate. Pinched cables result in a short circuit.
