MSL-100 Lock

    IMPORTANT:
  1. To ensure the safety of your belongings, you MUST change the factory set code to your own unique code immediately!

      Two Code Capacity
    1. User Code: Factory Set
    2. Master Code: Factory Set

      1. NOTE:
      2. The Master Code in Single User Mode is used as an emergency override code
        [Enter * - Master Code - # and the USER CODE will be set back to the factory set default code and is also used to change user settings.
      3. The Master Code in DUAL USER MODE is used as one of the two codes in dual user mode and is also used to change user settings.
        WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHANGE THE DEFAULT MASTER CODE

      Wrong Code Penalty
    1. Entry of 3 consecutive invalid codes results in a 5 minute delay period.
      Audio/Visual Signals
    1. Double Signal : 2 flashes & 2 beeps - indicates entry is valid or accepted.
    2. Triple Signal : 3 flashes & 3 beeps - indicates invalid or not accepted.
      Automatic Re-Locker
    1. The controller will re-lock in 4 seconds after a valid entry is made and the door is open.
      Low Battery Alert
    1. Controller repeated beeping during an unlocking indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
    2. Manufacturer recommends the use of 9V Alkaline Batteries and an annual maintenance replacement of the batteries.
      Single & Dual User Mode
    1. Single Mode: Open lock with 1 code [Override or User Code]
    2. Dual Mode: Open lock with 2 codes [User 1 & User 2 code]
      Time Delay
    1. Time Delay: A time period waiting for opening lock. The maximum Time Delay is 99 minutes

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

      Always Perfrom this operation with the door open
    1. Before closing the door, make sure all the changes are correct.
      Change Master Code [3-8 digits]
    1. Enter : #- Existing Code -#
      [[SET]] will display & the light will stay Orange for 20 seconds
    2. Enter : New Code -#
      NOTE: The Master Code & User Code can be set to a 1-12 digits
    3. [[SET]] will display & LED is now Orange for 20 seconds
    4. Re-Enter : New Code -#
    5. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice confirming the code change is successful
    6. If a mistake is made wait 25 seconds and repeat steps 1 - 6
    NOTE:
  1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
  2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

    Open Lock [Single User Mode]
  1. Enter : *- User Code -#
  2. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice indicating a valid code.
  3. Turn the handle clockwise while [[OPEN]] is displayed & LED is Green
    Open Lock [Dual User Mode]
  1. Enter : *- User Code -#- Master Code -#
  2. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice indicating valid codes
  3. Turn the handle clockwise while [[OPEN]] is displayed & LED is Green
    NOTE: Valid Code - Lock will double signal
    Invalid Code - Lock will triple signal
    Set Time Delay
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#
  2. [[SET]] will display & LED is now Orange for 20 seconds
  3. Enter : *- [01-99] -#- [01-99] -#
  4. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice confirming that the setting change is sucessful.
  5. Press : * or # to initiate the Time Delay
  6. [[SET]] will display & LED will signal once every 2 seconds indicating that the lock is in the delay period
  7. After the time delay period, a 2 minute window is given to enter code
  8. [[SET]] will display & LED will signal twice every 4 seconds during the 2 minute window

    NOTE:
  1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
  2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

    De-Activate Time Delay
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#
  2. [[SET]] will display & LED is now Orange for 20 seconds
  3. Enter : *-00-#-00-#
  4. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice confirming that the code setting is successful
    Set Single User Mode [Manager OR User Code to Unlock]
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#
  2. [[SET]] will display & LED is now Orange for 20 seconds
  3. Enter : *-1-#-1-#
  4. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice confirming the setting change is successful
    Set Dual User Mode [Manager & User Code to Unlock]
  1. Enter : #- Master Code -#
  2. [[SET]] will display & LED is now Orange for 20 seconds
  3. Enter : *-2-#-2-#
  4. [[OPEN]] will display & LED will signal twice confirming the setting change is successful
    Low Battery Warning
  1. [[OPEN]] will display & LED light turns Red during an opening indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
  2. Uses 4 AAA Alkaline Batteries.
  3. If batteries are depleted and will not allow lock to open, simply follow instructions below. Lock contains a non-volatile memory, even with batteries removed the lock will retain all programming.
    Changing the Batteries
  1. Turn the keypad housing to the left (counter clockwise) and carefully pull away from the mounting plate to expose battery compartment.
  2. Remove the 4 AAA Alkaline Batteries & replace.
    CAUTION! Hold onto battery terminal to avoid pulling wires out of housing.< /li>
  3. Carefully position the keypad into the inserts on the mounting plate and turn keypad right [clockwise].
    Ensure that there are no wires or cables trapped between the keypad and the inserts on the mounting plate. Pinched cables result in a short circuit.
