MSL-101 Lock


FEATURES:

MSL-101
      Two Code Capacity
    1. User Code: 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
    2. Master Code: 7 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 7

        1. NOTE:
        2. If the safe is opened with the override code it will set the User Code back to the factory default.
          WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHANGE THE FACTORY SET OVERRIDE CODE.

        Wrong Code Penalty
      1. Entry of three (3) consecutive invalid codes results in a 1-minute delay period.
        Audio/Visual Signals
      1. Double signal - two (2) LED flashes and two (2) beeps - indicates entry is valid or accepted.
      2. Triple signal - three (3) LED flashes and three (3) beeps - indicates invalid or not accepted.
        Automatic Re-Locker
      1. The controller will re-lock in 4 seconds after a valid entry is made and the door is open.
        Low Battery Alert
      1. Controller repeated beeping during an unlocking indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
      2. Manufacturer recommends the use of 9-Volt premier alkaline batteries and an annual maintenance replacement of the batteries.
        Single & Dual User Mode
      1. Single Mode: Open lock with one (1) code (override or user code).
      2. Dual Mode: Open lock with two (2) codes (user1 and user2 code).
        Time Delay
      1. Time Delay: A time period waiting for opening lock. The maximum Time Delay is ninty nine (99) minutes.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

        Always Perfrom this operation with the door open
      1. Before closing the door, make sure all the changes are correct.
        Quick Start
        Change Master Code [3 - 8 digit code]
      1. Enter # - EXISTING CODE - #
      2. The "Set" LED is now ORANGE for 20 seconds.
      3. Enter NEW code then press # NOTE: The User & Master Code can be set to a 1 to 12 digit code.
      4. The "Set" LED is now ORANGE for 20 seconds.
      5. Re-enter the NEW code then press #
      6. The "Open" LED will signal twice confirming the code change is successful.
      7. If a mistake is made wait 25 seconds and repeat steps 1 - 6.
      NOTE:
    1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
    2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

      Open Lock [Single User Mode]
    1. Enter * - User Code - #
    2. The "Open" LED will signal twice indicating a valid code.
    3. Turn the handle clockwise while the "OPEN" LED is GREEN.
      Open Lock [Dual User Mode]
    1. Enter * - User Code - # - Master Code - #
    2. The "Open" LED will signal twice indicating valid codes.
    3. Turn the handle clockwise while the "Open" LED is GREEN.
      NOTE:Valid Code: Lock will double signal
      Invalid Code: Lock will triple signal
      Set Time Delay
    1. Enter # - Master Code - #
    2. The "Set" LED is now orange for 20 seconds.
    3. Enter * - (01-99) - # - (01-99) - #
    4. The "Open" LED will signal twice confirming that the setting change is sucessful.
    5. * or # will initiate the Time Delay.
    6. The "Set" LED will signal once every 2 seconds indicating that the lock is in the delay period.
    7. After the time delay period, a 2 minute window is given to enter code.
    8. The "Set" LED will signal twice every 4 seconds during the two minute window.

      NOTE:
    1. Verify the new manager code at least 3 times before closing the door to make sure the code is correct.
    2. Operations between adjacent steps need be completed in 10 seconds. Otherwise, the lock system sets back to standby status.

      De-activate Time Delay
    1. Enter # - Master Code - #
    2. The "Set" LED is now orange for 20 seconds.
    3. Enter * - 00 - # - 00 - #
    4. The "Open" LED will signal twice confirming that the code setting is successful.
      Set Single User Mode [Manager OR User Code to Unlock]
    1. Enter # - Master Code - #
    2. The "Set" LED is now orange for 20 seconds.
    3. Enter * - 1 - # - 1 - #
    4. The "Open" LED will signal twice confirming the setting change is successful.
      Set Dual User Mode [Manager & User Code to Unlock]
    1. Enter # - Master Code - #
    2. The "Set" LED is now orange for 20 seconds.
    3. Enter * - 2 - # - 2 - #
    4. The "Open" LED will signal twice confirming the setting change is successful.
      Low Battery Warning
    1. The LED light turns RED during an opening indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate replacement.
    2. Uses one 9-volt alkaline battery
      If batteries are depleted and will not allow lock to open, simply follow the instructions below.
      Lock contains a non-volatile memory, even with batteries removed the lock will retain all programming.
      Changing the Batteries
    1. Locate the battery cover on the bottom edge of the keypad and remove the cover by pulling on the tab.
    2. Carefully remove the 9-volt battery from the compartment.
      CAUTION! Hold onto battery connector to avoid pulling wires out of housing.
    3. Reinsert the new battery, do not force the battery into the compartment.
