MSL-90E ELECTRONIC LOCK OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. HOW TO OPEN SAFE:
    1. Enter factory default code: *-0-0-0-0-# (the “OPEN” LED lights up for 5 seconds)
    2. Turn handle clockwise, while the “OPEN” LED is GREEN.
  2. HOW TO CHANGE USER NO.1’s CODE:
    • IMPORTANT: PLEASE KEEP DOOR IN THE OPENED POSITION WHEN CHANGING THE USER CODE. AFTER CHANGING THE USER CODE PLEASE TEST THE NEW CODE 3 TO 5 TIMES WITH THE DOOR OPEN.
    • The USER CODE can be set to a 1 to 25-digit code.
    1. Enter * -CURRENT USER CODE/ DEFAULT CODE -# (the “OPEN” LED is now GREEN for 5 seconds).
    2. While the “OPEN” LED is GREEN, Enter * -0-0-1 -# (the “SET” LED is now ORANGE for 10 seconds).
    3. While the “SET” LED is ORANGE, Enter CURRENT USER CODE -# -NEW USER CODE # (the “SET” LED will turn off with a double beep, confirming the code change).
    4. Your new No. 1 user code is now changed.
    5. If a mistake is made during the code change wait 15 seconds and repeat steps 1 -4.
    6. IMPORTANT: If the default factory code of 0-0-0-0 is still working, you will use this to change the No. 2 user code in Section “C”. (Highly recommended to change No. 2 user immediately)
  3. HOW TO CHANGE USER NO. 2’s CODE:
    1. Enter * -CURRENT USER CODE/DEFAULT CODE -# (the “OPEN” LED is now GREEN for 5 seconds).
    2. While the “OPEN” LED is GREEN, Enter * -0-0-2 -# (the “SET” LED is now ORANGE for 10 seconds).
    3. While the “SET” LED is ORANGE, Enter CURRENT USER CODE -# -NEW USER CODE # (the “SET” LED will turn off with a double beep, confirming the code change).
    4. Your new No. 2 user code is now changed.
  4. LOW BATTERY & HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY:
    • If the “OPEN” LED is RED when opening the safe, this is a “LOW BATTERY” warning. (We recommend replacing the battery immediately)
    • On the bottom of the Keypad there is a black plastic cover, remove that cover to gain access to the 9V battery. (Alkaline batteries is recommended)
  5. WRONG TRY PENALTY:
    • If an invalid code is entered 3 consecutive times this will put the lock in a 5 minute lock out state (The “OPEN” LED will flash and beep 10 times). You will not get any response from the keypad during this period.
